The “Four Seasons” series serves as an opening and paradigm for all of Philippe Pastor’s work. The artist frees himself, once and for all, from the closed spaces traditionally associated with art, and more specifically painting, in order to draw attention to a living, moving nature, capable of becoming a true field of action. He could therefore be described as a link in a natural process while also being the great organiser: he creates a form that evolves over several months, without ever really taking root. The imposing works that are created maintain a strong relationship with the environment, that is both analytical and irresistible, and which deeply modifies perception.
